My intention is to provide a compassionate, warm, curious, non-judgmental space where you feel understood and safe.
During sessions, we will identify your needs and strengths, uncover your motivations and goals, and explore past experiences that contribute to who you are. Everyone is unique, and I want to know you holistically – your history, your present, and how you view yourself; both internally and interconnected in the world. I typically have an active and collaborative approach in session. I’ll provide insight, gentle challenging, feedback, and reframing. I’m also here to hold space for you in whatever way you need. I am honored to be a part of your experience in therapy.
You may experience...
Relief to have an honest space for processing.
Growth that starts with understanding and accepting yourself, and recognizing your potential.
Discomfort while confronting deeply held assumptions and patterns.
Further understanding the meaning behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Support in talking about difficult feelings and topics.
An increase in confidence in yourself, your relationships, and your decision making.
Awareness of how your body and mind are connected.
Discovery of techniques and tools to help you feel better and heal.
My approach is eclectic, using a variety of evidenced-based treatments depending on your needs.
I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, narrative therapy, exposure therapy, and solution focused therapy. I draw from systems theories, attachment theories, psychodynamic theories and mindfulness principles. I provide psychoeducation along the way and love staying up-to-date on new theories and approaches to incorporate into treatment.
